Kid Project- Make your own Ice Cream!

Thanks to my FAMILY FUN mag, I found this great idea..."Ice Cream in a Bag"  I love to Make our own Butter, but THIS is awesome!  You do NOT need an ice cream maker, just some plastic bags. 

Mix together in a pint size ziploc bag:
2 Tbs sugar
1 cup half and half
1/2 tsp vanilla

Place 1/2 cup of salt (course, rock, or table) in a gallon size ziploc, then fill 1/2 way up with ice cubes.   Place the smaller bag inside the larger and make sure they are sealed. 

Start shaking!!!  It will take about 5 minutes...you can just eat it right out of the bag!  YUMMY and refreshing!
